Design Wizard. Create Impressive Designs
I would like to share with you my impressions on this new digital tool for creating videos, cards, slideshows, posters, planners and so forth.
The same easy-peasy workflow applies to any other digital outcome you would like to create, out of the range of likely productions the tool offers.
After having been checking its features and after having come out with my first production, which has not taken me more than 10 minutes to design, I can claim that Design Wizard is a reccomendable promising tool, which, if kept free for most of its features, it is bound to become a great success and of extreme usefuless for educators, students and professional communities.
Signing up with your social accounts or with a mail one, you can log in and start exploring the various alternatives it offers you for your digital outcomes: videos, Fb covers and headers for a start, or personlised invitations, social cards, ads and marketing materials.
I have been browsing Design Wizard and testing it for a while now, and it is an extremely viable digital tool for creating eye-catching outcomes, with lots of potential for Education. It has a low cost licensing model and all of the tool's features are available in their free subscription. Besides, it comes with clear nice tutorials and a straight-forward Help Center for the most frequently asked questions.
Design Wizard has three kinds of suscriptions: Apprentice, Pro and Expert. The Pro subscription is the most popular one, including access to a library of over 1.000.000 images and templates, unlimited social shares, 1 GB of file storage and 60 monthly credits to use on premium designs and templates.
The editor dashboard is user friendly and has a wide range of free templates to choose from and to adapt to your own goals and purposes:
I have chosen a free template to start producing my first video, whose purpose is to advertise a support ESL lesson for A2-B2 students, where we will be working with some digital Open Educational Resources within the EDIA Project, and will be travelling around the world without moving from our classroom in northern Spain.
I have adapted the sample text to my own goals and have included an image of the primary project logo, and that is it! I have a short video clip with an advertisement, which hopefully attracts the ESL students in the rural state-funded school of languages in northen Spain where I work, to be curious and come to class to learn about English Speaking Cities, to practise speaking, listening, writing, reading and digital skills, while they enjoy the trip.
Once you are done, you may save your work and also download the clip, for free.
But, if your goal is to reach a wider audience, you might be interested in social sharing: Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, or embedding it in your own blog or site, just as I have done below:
