Venera de Navia
By Jose and Vicky
This is a dessert from Navia (Asturias) typical in all
festivals. It is so easy to make that you can always be successful. Let’s do it
then!
Ingredients:
2 Eggs and 2 yolks
900 grs sugar
1kg grounded almonds
1Wafer foil
Decoration:
½ white of an egg
A little bit of powdered sugar
Green and red ice fruits glacés
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together until you obtain small
pastry dough. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees. Then make small cylindered
shapes with your hands wet, like snakes.
Put them in the oven, and be careful, because this
step is very important, since when you see the dough turn into toasted colour,
it means that it is already done.
Decoration:
Mix half the white of the eggs and whip half an egg until
light. Then thicken it by adding powdered sugar. After that decorate it as it is shown in the picture
above.
Enjoy!
Yuuuuuuummy!!!!!!
ResponderEliminarI promise I'll try making it, but I can't promise anything else, taking into account my skills in the kitchen are, let's say, elementary, just to put them a decent namme, OK?
Thanks ever so much, guys, for keeping up the blog even after lessons are finished, I really appreciate it!
