Baked apples
Ingredients:

4 large apples

¼ cup brown sugar (we could also
use white sugar)
·
1 teaspoon cinnamon
·
¼ cup crushed nuts
·
1 tbsp butter
·
¾ cup boiling water
Preheat the oven to 375ºF (190ºC ). In the meanwhile wash
the apples, remove cores using an apple corer, and be sure you dig out the
seeds.
In a small bowl mix the sugar, the cinnamon, and
the crushed nuts and add it to the boiling water. Place the apples in a deep
square baking pan. Stuff each apple with the mixture, and top them with a dot
of butter. Then add the boiling water to the pan and bake for 40 minutes, until
tender, but not mushy. Once you remove the apples from the oven drizzle them several times
with the pan juices.
