CREA Teacher

As most of you might know by now, last May 2012 I was appointed Teacher of the Month by ineveryCREA.
Thanks to this honour I had the chance of meeting lots of creative teachers who work with ICT and design various projects at their schools and with their students.
During the whole month, I had the difficult task of being in charge of selecting the best school of the month, a school that had to carry out a creative project regarding The Olympics.
As I have just mentioned, the task was a lot of hard work, since all the candidates applying for the contest truly deserved the award, but I tried to do my best and I certainly accomplished the duty with great pleasure and lots of joy.
Yesterday 19 June, I was invited to attend the 2011 - 2012 CREA event, where I received my own award, for which I am sincerely thankful to ineveryCREA and Angélica Suárez, and where I spent a delightful day with all the other CREA teachers and most importantly, where I met the most imaginative CREA kids and parents you could think of.

Thanks for making my day!!!
Keep on being CREA people!!!

The Network of 2.0 Best Practices mentions our work

The Network of 2.0 Best Practices, a network managed by the Spanish Ministry of Education, has just released their brand new digital magazine, and we have had the honour of celebrating this great event with them.

How? They have been so kind as to spread our work around in the first issue of the educational magazine. We really appreciate it and thank them for that, at the same time as we wish the magazine the best of lucks!

Open their first digital issue and go to page 49; you'll find an article about our collaborative work using ICT in the classroom.

Venera de Navia

By Jose and Vicky

This is a dessert from Navia (Asturias) typical in all festivals. It is so easy to make that you can always be successful. Let’s do it then!

2 Eggs and 2 yolks
900 grs sugar
1kg grounded almonds
1Wafer foil

½ white of an egg
A little bit of powdered sugar
Green and red ice fruits glacés

Mix all the ingredients together until you obtain small pastry dough. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees. Then make small cylindered shapes with your hands wet, like snakes.
Put them in the oven, and be careful, because this step is very important, since when you see the dough turn into toasted colour, it means that it is already done.

Mix half the white of the eggs and whip half an egg until light. Then thicken it by adding powdered sugar.  After that decorate it as it is shown in the picture above.
