    Mr Bates recommended to Gulliver to be surgeon to the ship Swallow. When he came back to London and he decided to settle down, he was recommended to several patients by Mr Bates.

    After his return from Leyden, he was recommended by his good master Mr. Bates, to be surgeon to the ship Swallow.

    They arrived in the Downs on the 13th of April, 1702

    It happened in his third voyage to Laputa, Balnibarbi, Luggnagg, Glubbdubdrib, and Japan. After being chased by two pirates they were boarded about the same time by both of them.

    4.- How can the towns of Maldonada and Portsmouth be said to be similar?

    There was no ship in the harbour. The town is about as large as Portsmouth.

    Gulliver returned to Amsterdam in a Dutch ship.

    The word Houyhnhnm means a race of intelligent horses.
